Anchor Self-Help Access (ASHA)-Started in 1996 by Ms. Brinda Jayaraman with a view to create awareness about positive mental health, ASHA extends its services to all cross sections of society.


 About Ms. Brinda Jayaraman

A Bachelor's degree in Teaching (Madras   University), a Masters in Psychology (Annamalai University) and a PG Diploma in Guidance & Counselling, done short courses on counselling Addiction, HIV, Marital problems and Childhood/Adolescent behaviour Disorders (University of Washington, U.S.A).

 
  • Attended 3 days course on Parenting & 3 days course on Couple Counselling conducted by Dr. Betty Lou Bettner, Philadelphia, USA in 2006.

  • Attended 5 day workshop on Cognitive Therapy conducted by Dr. Judith Beck at Beck Institute, Philadelphia, USA in 2007.

  About Saashwathi Prabhu Ms. Brinda Jayaraman  After completing M.Sc psychology in JBAS women’s College, Saashwathi took practical training under Brinda Jayaraman for 3 years and is working as her junior, counselling clients on behaviour problems in children, on parenting and on marital conflicts. She is a professional musician, (disciple of Sri Lalgudi G. Jayaraman), now working on therapeutic music for clients.
